Innovations in Agriculture Education in India

Abstract

The agriculture sector has been given the status of priority in the Indiane conomy be cause directly or indirectly more than 50% of the total workforce is employed in this sector. Agriculture contributes about 14% to national GDP and responsible for about 12% export. The  agricultural research is a diverse discipline which aims to introduce improved farming techniques to increase and sustain agricultural production quality and quantity, and to reduce drudgery. Education is an act or process of imparting or acquiring knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment. Agricultural Education has the primary aim of achieving human resource development throughout the rural economies of all the nations.
